Connect with international UvA alumni and expand your network. Learn how UvA alumni started their career in the Netherlands, gain insight into the Dutch labour market and start building your professional network.
Each year, the UvA hosts a series of three Student-Alumni Career Talks in February and March, each focusing on a different career sector.
The Career Talks feature a panel of international UvA-alumni who will share their experiences in finding a job in the Netherlands after graduation.
The highly interactive panel discussion is followed by informal networking drinks with fellow students and alumni.

The events take place on three Thursdays in February and March, each focusing on a different career sector:
All international UvA students who are exploring the job market and considering their careers path are invited to join this session.
Whatever your field of study, it’s up to you to craft a career that incorporates your personal interests, motivation and skills.
Perhaps you‘re interested in doing a PhD, inspired by the energy in the tech start-up scene, determined to work in the nonprofit and NGO sector or curious what the creative sector holds for you.
Attending one or more Student-Alumni Career Talks will elucidate the differences between the sectors and help you find out what suits you best.
If you do not speak Dutch, it may seem difficult to find a job in the Netherlands as most job vacancies require Dutch language skills.
However, the labour market in the Netherlands also has an international sector for which English is the business language and where an international background may be an advantage.
The Career Talks take place in the Music Hall in CREA (Nieuwe Achtergracht 170, 1018 WV Amsterdam) at the Roeterseiland Campus.
