How we help you
Our services are available to all UvA students from all degree programmes. Our broad outlook and expertise allows you to examine which degree programme and career is right for you.
Key subjects include:
- Study choice or switching degree programmes
- Choosing a Master’s
- CV checks
- Cover letter checks
- Insight into your qualities, interests and motivation
- Interview practice
- Getting more out of LinkedIn
- Exploring the job market
Perhaps you would like to discuss another subject related to your studies or future career? Don’t hesitate to contact us. If it turns out we aren’t equipped to help you, we are happy to refer you to another department or organisation, either at the UvA or elsewhere.
Workshops and training
On a weekly basis, the UvA Student Careers Centre offers a broad range of workshops, training courses and information sessions about career topics. These topics focus on choosing a Bachelor’s and Master’s programme, personal development and self-assessment, job application skills and job market orientation.
The UvA Student Careers Centre organises several events for Bachelor's and Master's students from all disciplines. Workshops, labour market trends, inspiring speakers, CV check, contact with employers, having a professional LinkedIn photo taken and learning to apply.
